Conditions & Treatment
A headache is pain in the head from many causes. Migraine is a specific neurological disorder with throbbing pain, often one-sided, plus nausea, light sensitivity and disability that goes beyond ordinary tension pain.
MRI is requested for red-flag symptoms, focal neurological signs, treatment-resistant complaints or unusual presentations. Many common conditions are diagnosed clinically first; imaging is added when it will change management.
About 70% of patients become completely seizure-free on the right medication. After years without seizures, tapering may be considered. Selected drug-resistant cases may benefit from epilepsy surgery evaluation.
Early signs include resting tremor of one hand, slowness of movement, stiffness, small handwriting, reduced arm swing while walking and soft monotone speech. See a neurologist if several of these appear together.
Most vertigo is benign and very treatable, especially BPPV. Sudden severe vertigo with weakness, speech difficulty, double vision or inability to walk needs urgent evaluation to rule out stroke.
Most recovery happens in the first 3–6 months with rehabilitation, though improvements can continue for years. Early physiotherapy, speech therapy and risk-factor control make the biggest long-term difference.

The neurology consultation fee is ₹1,000. Additional tests such as EEG or nerve studies, if needed, are charged separately by the hospital or diagnostic centre and explained before booking.
